Driving Tips:

  1. Buckle up! It's the Law!
  2. Slow down! Pay attention!
  3. Don't become oblivious to work zone signs when the work is long-term or widespread.
  4. Calm down. Work zones are not meant to inconvenience you. They're in place to improve the safety of roads for everyone.
  5. Pay attention to your surroundings. A work zone is the worst place to make a cellular phone call, apply makeup, shave or change a radio station.
  6. Be sure to leave ample braking room between you and the car in front of you.
  7. Don't drink and drive!
  8. Be Alert! If you are drowsy, pull off at the next available exit.
